Day 5 – Open the eyes and minds of unbelievers

“The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4(NIV)

There is a spiritual war happening on earth that many do not see, yet it is intensifying. Slowly, the enemy who once operated in darkness is no longer hiding. Once unacceptable things are now part of daily life. There is a spiritual battle raging over the lives of our loved ones. While they may be unable to see the truth or fight for themselves, we are called to stand in the gap and fight on their behalf through prayer. As intercessors, we must pray that the enemy does not blind their eyes or minds to the truth of the gospel.

Our prayers carry power. Through them, we contend for breakthrough, clarity, and salvation. Pray these prayers with me:

• 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐞𝐦𝐲: Jesus reminds us in Matthew 12:29, “𝐻𝑜𝑤 𝑐𝑎𝑛 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑛’𝑠 ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑠𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑠𝑝𝑜𝑖𝑙 ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑𝑠, 𝑢𝑛𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠 ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑟𝑠𝑡 𝑏𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑠 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑎𝑛?” Lord, we pray for (NAME) and bind the spirit operating in their life. We bind (NAME) to the gospel of Jesus Christ and call them into the light of the kingdom of God. We bind every spirit that keeps (NAME) from receiving the truth and from experiencing Your freedom. Open their eyes and minds for Your glory and mercy. We declare that Satan has no hold over their mind, heart, or life.

• 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐫𝐬: Matthew 9:37-38 reads, “𝑇ℎ𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑡𝑟𝑢𝑙𝑦 𝑖𝑠 𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑜𝑢𝑠, 𝑏𝑢𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑒𝑤; 𝑝𝑟𝑎𝑦 𝑦𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑜𝑟𝑑 𝑜𝑓 𝑡ℎ𝑒 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 ℎ𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑡ℎ 𝑙𝑎𝑏𝑜𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑜 ℎ𝑖𝑠 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑣𝑒𝑠𝑡.” Father, I pray for godly influence in (NAME)’s life. Send those who are equipped with Your Word (about salvation, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, and deliverance) to minister to (NAME). Lord, let the laborers cross their path who can communicate effectively and clearly, so that Your Word can reach their hearts and bring transformation.

Prayer: Father, I pray that every trial, circumstance, and situation will cause our loved ones to turn back to Your loving glory and grace. I pray, as Ezekiel 36:26 says, “𝐺𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑚 𝑎 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑡𝑜 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑌𝑜𝑢, 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑜𝑟𝑑.” Open their eyes to see You clearly, and soften their hearts to receive Your truth. Lord, we believe that You can break every chain and bring salvation to the lost. We trust in Your power to transform lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen. ©
