Day 14 – You made me marvelous

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 138:14 NKJV
“The infinite power of and wisdom, manifested in the rare and curious structure of a man’s body, doth fill me with wonder and astonishment, with the dread of thy majesty.” Poole
David was a shepherd, special forces soldier, hero of Israel, poet, and the chosen king of God’s nation. With his mere human thinking, but with the skill of a poet, David declares that he was “fearfully and wonderfully made.” Today, we know a lot more about the medical science of our anatomy than David ever did, giving us all the more reason to praise God for how He made us. To stand in awe of each cell constructed and working together to make up who you are.
Every miraculous healing I see or hear about brings praise to my lips because I know that God’s continuous creation power is in continuation of His marvelous works and this is something our souls recognize and knows very well as our spirits are connected to our Creator. We can pray and ask in faith for healing of our own bodies and others too.
Let’s pray: Father, from the crown of my head to the souls of my feet I accept that Your work in me is marvelous and that I too, am fearfully and wonderfully made. Allow me today to be aware of the miracle of my body, from a tear, a sneeze, and even just breathing are all scientifically and perfectly created. Where there is a sickness in my body, I ask Lord, for Your healing because I have faith in Your marvelous, continuous work in my body. You are such a loving and gracious God. Amen.
