What is a marriage without deeply loving one another? If love is absent, how can a marriage withstand the attacks from the world? Without love, we become enemies within, destroying and stealing each otherโs joy and happiness.
Just before I got married, someone told me that a marriage is a 50/50 partnership. That statement is so inaccurate because a marriage is more like a 120/120 partnership. It requires hard work, trust, and complete commitment from both partners. Lifeโs challenges and external pressures are constantly pulling us apart, and itโs up to us to hold on tightly and cling together with all our strength.
Remember, in marriage, love must surpass everything else. Husbands and wives should always strive to cover one another in love, creating a bond that withstands any storm. As helpers, we must stay committed during difficult times and demonstrate love through our actions and decisions, because love is often the first thing to walk out the door when life gets tough. When challenges arise, your love becomes the only currency with true value, keeping your husbandโs heart full of love for you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for reminding us that love must be the foundation of our marriage. Teach us to love deeply, to cover one another in grace, and to remain steadfast in our commitment even when life is hard. Amen. ยฉ
