Day 3 – Sincerity
“and said(Judas), what are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you? and they (the priests) counted out to him thirty pieces of silver.” Matthew 26:15
“Jesus said to him (Peter), assuredly I say to you that this night, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” Matthew 26:35
Jesus told His disciples what would happen. One would betray Him for 30 pieces of silver, and another would deny Him because of fear.
There is nothing that Jesus does not know and there is nothing that we can hide from Him. We can’t fake our worship, our fellowship, and our deepest desires before Him.
When the going gets tough and rough, are we going to betray Jesus for better finances, and a better future? Are we going to deny that we know Him? Are we going to put our faith aside to please those that want nothing to do with Jesus? Are we going to bind ourselves to the spirit of fear or religiousness?
I pray you to have a sincere heart before the Lord at all times. I pray that you search Him wholeheartedly always. That you do not lead your life on your own understanding, but trust in Him and His guidance.
Jesus is not to be given up, or denied. He is your lifeline.
Prayer: Father God we praise you almighty for the wonderful works that you have done for us. Help us to always walk in your truth, never set anything above you, and never exchange you for anything in our life. Help us to never be ashamed of the gospel, to never be afraid to proclaim we are yours and You are ours, in Jesus’ Name Amen.
