Day 15 – Blessed to be a blessing

Blessed to be a blessing

“The generous man [is a source of blessing and] shall be prosperous and enriched, And he who waters will himself be watered [reaping the generosity he has sown].” Proverbs 11:25 (AMP)

We are reminded today that our harvest is never only for our blessing but for the blessing for others as well. Often, we feel that we have endured and worked hard to receive the blessing from God during our winter season and that we don’t want to share. God is clear about being generous and we should never lose sight of what He expects us to do with our harvest.

“Do not neglect to do good, to contribute [to the needy of the church as an expression of fellowship], for such sacrifices are always pleasing to God.” Hebrews 13:16 (AMP)

As we come to the end of our devotional today, I believe that you are able to look at your winter season from a new point of view, having God’s purpose and plan for your life in mind. The most important part of our winter season is to encourage and share with others once we have worked through a new season of joy and laughter. Always testify of God’s provision and remain expectant!

“I do not believe one can settle how much we ought to give. I am afraid the only safe rule is to give more than we can spare.” – C.S. Lewis

Prayer: Father God, thank You that overflow is not always only for us, but also for others. Guide and help us to be generous with our blessings and help us to testify of your goodness and provision wherever we go. Amen
