Day 1 – Chosen

This devotional is a journey through some key verses in Ephesians 1.

Ephesians 1:4 (NKJV) – “just as He CHOSE* us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we may be holy and without blame before Him in love,” *Capitals added for emphasis.

Does it feel like you are all alone? Most of us have many people in our lives, yet among the people can feel like the loneliest place.

We often give in to insecurities and feelings of worthlessness that stem from our past. It’s hard to believe amid everything that has happened in our lives that we are good enough to be chosen. But the truth is you are chosen! This verse clearly states that even before the Lord created the world, He already chose you. He knew who you would be, what you would face and when it will be your time to show His love to the world. You, precious one, are chosen by the King of Kings!

Prayer: Thank you Lord for reminding me today that You chose me before the foundation of the world. You already knew everything I would face, all the insecurities, hardships, dark thoughts, slip-ups and mistakes. You still chose me. And you love me nonetheless. Thank you for helping me realise and believe that I am worthy of being chosen. Amen.
