Day 23 – I am HEARD

“The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord will answer my prayer.” Psalm 6:9

In 2021, I started keeping a spiritual growth diary. I documented events and situations, inspiring scriptures and quotes, revelations the Holy Spirit opened from the Bible, and prayers – many, many prayers. Looking back at the end of 2021, I was in awe – there was an answer to all my prayers. Whether it was a yes, no, not yet, or wisdom and understanding of scripture, God stayed true to His Word and promises by answering my prayers. Some of the prayers I had forgotten about, but God still answered them. To this day, my journal is a permanent accessory in my handbag.

Fast forward to the start of 2024, there were a few struggles kicking off a very uncertain year. I did not realize it at the time, but when asked about it, I simply replied Psalm 6:9. God has heard me, He has proven it a hundred times over. And because of my certainty that God hears me, my faith cannot be shaken.

I know we’ve all experienced that dreadful feeling when it seems our prayers don’t go further than the ceiling. But my friend, believe that God has heard you – because His Word says He does. You might not receive an immediate notification in your prayer inbox, but He will answer. You are heard!

Prayer: Father, many times I have prayed and thought that You did not hear. I now realise that this is a lie from the enemy, and I ask for Your forgiveness for these thoughts. Thank you, Lord, for strengthening my faith through this verse. With a grateful heart, I know that I am heard. Amen.
