Day 9 – I am VICTORIOUS

Romans 8:37 AMP “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us.”

Imagine a school sporting event, and you are competing against your worst enemy. Both teams give it their best shot, but at the last intense minute of the game, you bury your rivals with a landslide victory. Upon reflecting on your win, you are thankful that you assumed that your enemy would be using their old game plan, because that gave you a competitive advantage to strategize better, to be able to walk out victorious!

In spiritual terms, to be “more than a conqueror”, means that we didn’t only win the battle against the enemy, but we won by far!  How? Because our enemy is also still using the same old game plan. Throughout all the ages he tried to steal, kill and destroy God’s people(John 10:10), but God promise us life in abundance. Yes, our faith will be tested with things like troubles in life, anxiety, fear, unfair treatment in certain situations, intimidation, and even the possibility of severe financial suffering to the point that you don’t know how you will feed or dress your family (Romans 8:35). Yet, none of these can separate us from the love of Christ. And from Christ’s victory on the cross, we can face all trials in life, because we know that we are more than conquerors.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank you for Your promise of undoubted victory in our lives, as long as we stay faithful to You. What a privilege to be part of Your team, with the reward of eternity with You one day. Amen

Love, Yolandi Wirth
