Day 1 – In Silence

“He was oppressed and He was afflicted, Yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, And as a sheep before its shearers is silent, So He opened not His mouth.” Isaiah 53:7 NKJV

We are entering the week of Easter. A very special celebration for us Christians. The essence of our faith is rooted in this, that Jesus died so that we could live.

In the book of Isaiah, the prophet Isaiah prophesied about Jesus’ crucifixion, He went to be our lamb, and not once did He open His mouth to rebuke those who falsely accused Him. Instead, all He had was love and mercy.

I have never ever come across a love so deep, so sincere and so overwhelming.

As we meditate on Easter this week, may we remember Jesus’ love and mercy toward us.

Prayer: Father God, thank you for your Son Jesus Christ, whom you sent to die for us, so that we may live. In Jesus’ Name Amen.
