Radio & television stations transmit twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. But we only hear it when we turn on a receiver (radio or television). Failure to hear the signal doesnβt mean the station isnβt transmitting. Likewise, God is constantly transmitting His voice to His children. Sometimes as a roar and other times as a gentle whisper. Most of us are turned on but not tuned in, and all we hear is the π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨π¨ of white noise.
Thatβs why we need to fix our receivers. Learning to clearly distinguish Godβs voice in your unique way is invaluable. Instead of stumbling blindly through life, we can walk with the wisdom of God guiding and protecting us. It is in stillness – not busyness – that we tune our spiritual ears to hear Him.
This communication is Spirit to spirit. Unlike human communication (mouth to ear) the Lord speaks directly to our spirits. His voice may come as words, but often it arrives as thoughts, impressions, or prophetic visions. He speaks in ways that bypass the noise of the world and reach the deepest places of our hearts.
Pray with me: Father, I know You are constantly speaking, and because I am Your child, I know I can hear Your voice. Holy Spirit, help me to tune my spiritual ears so I may hear and understand You more clearly. Teach me to recognize the unique way You have gifted me to listen, and let me walk in Your wisdom daily. Amen. Β©
