Day 134 – Proverbs: Wisdom for leaders
“It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them.” Proverbs 25:2 NLT
Reading Proverbs 25:1 to Proverbs 31:31
This section of Proverbs is a collection compiled by the advisers of King Hezekiah of Judah. The first section was written by Solomon, while the latter was authored by others. Although we can learn from these, many were initially directed towards the king or those who interacted with him. They are particularly inspiring for those in leadership roles or those aspiring to be leaders.
The book concludes with the well-known description of a good wife, who exemplifies godly wisdom practised in our daily lives.
Prayer: Father, thank You for the wisdom and privilege to discover beautiful things in Your Word. Bind these words to our hearts, Lord, so they become the rhythm of our spiritual heartbeat. Amen.
