Day 14 – Ghost

“but when they saw him walking on the water, they cried out in terror, thinking he was a ghost.” Mark 6:49 NLT

During our storms: you pray, you do warfare, you ask interceders to pray, and you hand a fellow shipper an oar asking them to row with you. You are so busy doing all the prescribed “right stuff”, that you miss Jesus as the centre of it all. You become so focused and busy on the battle against the storm – it becomes your “normal” and when Jesus comes towards you, you become more fearful and panicky. We think it can’t be real, or we feel so lost and broken that we cannot believe Jesus will show up for us.

The solution to anything you face is very simple: look to Jesus (the victorious One) and not the battle.

Prayer: Father, sometimes I become so used to the storm I am battling that I accept that this is what my life will be, instead of fighting hard and looking to Jesus. Having absolute and true faith that He will come to my rescue. Forgive me, Father, for using my battles as a crutch instead of crushing them under my faith. Thank You, Jesus, for always coming to my rescue. Amen.
