Day 21 – She thinks before she speaks
“She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue” Proverbs 31:26b NIV
When I read this verse, I personally feel amazed that God made us so special that we can speak life in any situation. How powerful is that? I feel like a superwoman!
We need to speak life over our husbands, family friends, and co-workers. And be very careful with this “superpower” to speak wisdom and faithful instructions.
James 1:19 also says, “Be quick to listen but slow to speak.”
We should be checking our tongue and what we say carefully and always speak life in every situation. Jesus spoke life and love over people, and we have that power to do as well.
My friend once told me that even if it is so difficult and things are really not going that well, and someone asks how things are, not to respond with something negative. Count your words, and reply by saying it will get better. I speak life over it and believe God is moving.
There is real power in the tongue.
PRAYER: Father God, thank You for my superpower and the ability to speak life from my tongue. Please place a guard over my tongue so that I am quick to listen but slow to speak and that I will only speak life and wisdom and Jesus, declaring the faithfulness of my God always. AMEN.
