Day 27 – Mind renewal

“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing  you may discern  what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” Romans 12:2

Whenever we discuss worldly views or any topic highlighted by news agendas, we make it a priority to ask our children what they think. From politics to transgenderism. To me, as a Godly mommy, it is important to understand their point of view of the world and help them to understand it from God’s point of view. The world today is quite a different place from when I grew up.

We did not face world-dominating views like “it’s your body, your choice” or “it’s all about you, do what makes you happy”. (I’m wildly giving short examples of the tremendous pressure points portrayed by the world today.)

My prayer is that our children will allow God to renew their minds to discern the will of God instead of being conformed by a broken world. That they may, at all times, know what is good, acceptable, and perfect in the eyes of our Father and live their lives according to it instead of following the mainstream. I pray that they will be so saturated by God’s Word that they would immediately know the truth when they hear or read news bulletins and be able to pray for it according to the Word.

Prayer: Father, thank You that we can be transformed by allowing you to transform our minds. I ask that Your spirit of discernment be with our children so they will not be conformed by this world but transformed by You renewing their minds according to Your will. Amen.
