Fasting like Daniel – Breakthrough

Breakthrough
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians 3:20
You might not have thought when you started this devotional with the fast that there is a glimmer of hope or the slightest chance of a breakthrough in your life. If you have not received it, I want to encourage you not to lose hope and in faith continue prayer for your breakthrough. It took the angel 21 days to reach Daniel from the moment he started praying.
“And the man said to me, ‘Daniel, you are very precious to God, so listen carefully to what I have to say to you. Stand up, for I have been sent to you.’ When he said this to me, I stood up, still trembling. Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. But for twenty-one days the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia blocked my way. Then Michael, one of the archangels, come to help me, and I left him there with the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia.” Daniel 10:11-13
You, my dear sister in Christ, are just as precious to God as Daniel in the verse. He has heard your humble prayers and your request has been heard in heaven. We expect immediate results when we pray, but we should also learn to nurture the fruit of patience when waiting on breakthroughs. And I believe yours are on the horizon.
Prayer: Father, thank You that I am precious to you and that You can accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. I praise You for the breakthroughs I received and in faith hold on to the ones still coming. Thank You that the angels are fighting on my behalf for the breakthroughs to come through. Amen.
Thank You for fasting with us! We would love to hear your testimony on your experience.
