Activating the Gift of Hearing

“’The Lord continued to appear at Shiloh and gave messages to Samuel there at the Tabernacle.” 1 Samuel 3:21

To start to activate the gift of hearing it’s good to develop a system to document what you hear, like a journal. Writing it down is a sign that you are taking what God is saying seriously. It’s your responsibility to steward this gift by documenting the Word of God as it’s given to you, whether it’s for your own life, someone else’s or even for a church. Be encouraged to write it down and check up on past notes when the Holy Spirit reminds you of Word shared in the past.

Learn to say and pray “Speak Lord, Your servant is listening”. Don’t force what you’ve heard on others, share a bit, and see if they experience the same and come back to enquire more. God will work with the nugget you shared in their lives.

Pray for confirmation if you are uncertain of what you heard. Search for the truth of what you heard in your Bible and how what you heard compliments scripture. God will never share something if it is not grounded in His Truth in His Word.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the ability to activate this beautiful gift of spiritual hearing in Your Word. Please guide the spiritual hearers of Your Body to activate their gift during this time and hear Your voice in their lives. Amen. ©
