Day 3 – Draw them closer

When thinking about family and friends who are living apart from a relationship with Jesus, it can often be challenging to know how to pray effectively without feeling discouraged. Simply proclaiming the gospel to those we love is sometimes not enough. One thing we must remind ourselves of is that the unsaved family and friends will not be saved by us alone. Nothing we do or say will save them without the Holy Spirit, who brings conviction through the Word of God. When the Word of God is preached, the Holy Spirit moves, and then the Father can draw people to Him.

God declares that He will feed His flock and seek the lost. It is amazing what God will do when we make Him part of our journey to save our family and friends. As part of our journey, let’s have prayer points to focus on. These prayers can be prayed daily, and I invite you to add names to them and change them to suit your situation.

π’π©πžπœπ’πŸπ’πœ 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐑𝐞 π”π§π¬πšπ―πžπ 𝐂𝐑𝐒π₯𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐧/π…πšπ¦π’π₯𝐲/π…π«π’πžπ§ππ¬

β€’ πƒπ«πšπ° 𝐭𝐑𝐞𝐦 𝐜π₯𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫: Father, as Your word says in James 4:8 β€œDraw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” We pray that just as we draw closer to You, You will send someone across our unsaved loved one’s path to take (NAME) closer to You. Amen.

β€’ π‚π‘πšπ§π π’π§π  π‡πžπšπ«π­π¬: Lord, I pray Ezekiel 11:19 over (NAME), and I ask that the Holy Spirit convict (NAME)’s heart to accept the truth of Jesus Christ. Give them a new heart and spirit, and remove their heart of stone, and give them a heart of flesh. Amen.

β€’ 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐒𝐨𝐧: Yahweh Nissi, Psalm 57:1 states, β€œHave mercy on me, my God, have mercy on me…” Today I ask that You have mercy for (NAME). Let (NAME) β€œfind refuge in the shadow of Your wings until the disaster has passed.” Protect (NAME) from the enemy’s plans to steal, kill, and destroy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

β€’ 𝐅𝐨𝐫 π‚π¨π§π―π’πœπ­π’π¨π§: “Lord, send the Holy Spirit to bring back their recollection of the truths they have heard. Use every seed of the Word planted in their life to convict and draw them back to You”. Amen.

Prayer: Thank You, King Jesus, for Your selfless sacrifice and for paying the price so that we can have eternal life. Thank you for loving us, Lord, that You sent Your only Son to die on the cross. Draw every unsaved person closer to Your perfect love, and we surrender them into Your loving arms. I pray for every unsaved soul to know the price King Jesus paid for our redemption and to bring them out of darkness and into Your marvellous light. In Jesus Name, Amen. Β©
