Day 4 – Hibernate in His presence
Hibernate in His presence
“HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!” Psalm 91:1-2 (AMPC)
Winter seasons remind me of ‘hide and seek ‘, sometimes we just want to hibernate and come out when everything is over! I do believe that God wants us to hide, hide in the secret place with Him as we seek His protection and guidance. If we look at our winter seasons from this point of view, they actually become seasons of spending time with God as we “hide and seek” on the condition that we labour to the tasks He has given us.
“What profit is there for the worker from that in which he labors? I have seen the task which God has given to the sons of men with which to occupy themselves.” Ecclesiastes 3:9-10 (AMP)
For today, we are encouraged to use our winter seasons to “hide and seek” God with all our hearts, allowing Him to occupy our hearts and minds in order to sustain and keep us strong.
Prayer: Lord, I pray for every reader today. May they hide in the Shadow of Your love today. We do not always understand the hard seasons in our lives, thank You that You are always protecting us in our ways as we seek your guidance for each part of our season. Amen
