Breath – Day 12

God breathes live
“But after three and a half days, God breathed life into them, and they stood up! Terror struck all who were staring at them. Then a loud voice from heaven called to the two prophets, “Come up here!” and they rose to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched.” Revelation 11:11 (NLT)
From Elijah raising the son of the widow to Jesus being resurrected, the dead receiving new breath is not news to us as believers. There are a few stories of people (dead for 3 days) who were made alive again through the Spirit of God. In the book of Revelation, we read about the Two Witnesses. The enemy thought he defeated them. Leaving their bodies in the city for all to see while celebrating in his triumph. But this was short-lived. God breathed life into them, and terror struck all who were staring at them.
Did you get that part? As they stood to their feet – alive by the breath of God – terror struck all who were watching. The enemy who thought he won, was struck with terror. My sweet friend, when God breathes life into a dead situation, the enemy will be struck with terror! The enemy might think he defeated you, but God does not think so. You might feel defeated, but God does not think so. You might feel dead, but God does not think so. God breathes life into you.
“Come up here!” a voice called them from heaven. How beautiful to know, that with the breath of God bringing them to live again, God did not leave them on their own. They were being called to heaven. What Kingdom call awaits you when God breathes His life-giving breath into you or your situation?
Prayer: Father, sometimes I feel it is easier just to roll over and play dead. Life is hard and sucks sometimes. But in these times is when I need Your breath of new life the most! I ask Lord, that You will breathe life into me. Call me towards You Lord and show me what You would like me to do with Your breath. Amen.
