Day 1 – SPOKEN

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
In Hebrews 4:12 NIV God says that His Word is alive and active. When we read God’s Word in the Bible, do we read it as active words that are alive and life-changing, or do we read it as mere words without applying this living Word by faith in our lives?
In the book of Genesis, God spoke creation into life. As God created our beautiful planet and universe, He did it with His words. He spoke and it happened!
Now when God says in His Word, “these things I have spoken to you” it’s not just mere words without meaning, but it has significance, it has power, it has authority, it has life! God did not inspire the authors of the various chapters to write His Word for no reason or just to pass their time.
His living and inspired words are there to make a difference, encourage us, and give us perseverance. God’s Word is a powerful tool for us to fight our daily battles in the spirit.
The Lord has equipped us, not left us destitute. Take God’s spoken Word, the Bible, hold it up high when you pray and declare that you walk in God’s Word, you believe in God’s Word, and God’s Word is your daily bread.
Believe in God’s spoken Word.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, what a privilege it is to have your spoken words in our hands. That we can open and read in freedom. We have access to your living Word at any time we want it. Help us to believe in your spoken Word and never doubt it. It is the way, the truth, and the light for us. In Jesus’s Name I ask, Amen.
