Our minds are so powerful. And the most important thing to remember about our it is that it can be changed. God gave us free will, which lives in our minds. This causes us to be able to choose what we think and choose to stop our thoughts before we can sin. Salvation protects the mind. Assurance guards your thoughts from doubt and despair.
The enemy often attacks our identity first because if he can convince you that you are not worthy of Godโs love, he can pull you away from God. The helmet reminds us who we are, and whose property we are. Are your thoughts aligned with your salvation? Do you remind yourself to take your thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ, or do you let your mind be a playground for the enemy? Donโt let the enemy mess with your mind; your salvation is a helmet to protect it. And remember, Godโs got your back!
Prayer: Thank You, Jesus, that I can take every thought captive and let it be in obedience to You. Thank You for providing me with the salvation to be a helmet for my mind. Amen.
