Day 13 – Walking in Holiness

The Word tells us that “without holiness no man will see God” Hebrews 12:14; and this goes beyond just righteousness. Worshiping our Holy God, growing in relationship with Him and having His glory saturate us should be at the top of our minds and the top of our priorities.

Something that is “pure” is undefiled and uncorrupted. Our “old man” was defiled and corrupted, but we have been redeemed, reborn and given a “new man” – we are a completely new creation.

Thinking on, and pursuing purity, godliness and holiness is about putting off the old man (remember that the spirit has been renewed and the soul has to come into submission); and allowing the “new creation” to be evident in us. Our job is to think, speak, act, strive, pursue purity and holiness.

Prayer: Teach me Holy Spirit to focus my mind on purity and to pursue holiness as I submit to Your work of sanctification in me. Thank You that Your word promises that You have started a good work in me will bring it to completion so that I can be holy, pure and confident on the day of Jesus Christ. Amen
