Day 16 – El Shaddai

“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him, “I am Almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.” Genesis 17:1-2
The name El Shaddai (God Almighty) appears seven times in the Word of God. When I draw the line through humanity’s history, and even when I see the news in our modern days – I can go back to the book of Genesis and see the immutable, unbreakable promise God made to Abraham in Genesis 17.
This promise changed the world and every person on earth as a living testimony of the faithfulness of the Almighty God. And El Shaddai who kept His promise to Abraham is the same God Almighty that keeps His promises to you and me through Jesus Christ.
Prayer: Father, how often I forget the promises You give me when I face difficult times. Thank You for always keeping Your Word and that I can always go back to Your Word and Your promises. Amen.
PS… As we grow deeper into a relationship with God, He brakes open the promises he makes for us to a deeper level of understanding. Write down the promises God gave you that you carry in your heart and pray about it today, giving El Shaddai all the Glory!
