Day 20 – I am SAVED
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.” – Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)
Blessings, beloved sisters. Today, let’s celebrate the incredible gift of salvation. Through God’s grace, we are saved, not by our own efforts but by His loving kindness. This truth is both humbling and empowering.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” – 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we need to earn God’s love and approval. We might strive to be perfect, to do everything right, believing that our worth depends on our actions. But the beauty of God’s grace is that it’s a gift freely given. We are saved because of His love, not our works.
Consider the weight that lifts when you realize you don’t have to earn your salvation. God’s grace is sufficient. Our faith in Jesus Christ is all we need to receive this incredible gift. This doesn’t mean we stop striving to live righteously, but it means we do so from a place of gratitude and love, not obligation.
Let’s delve into the salvation plan. God’s love for humanity is so great that He provided a way for us to be reconciled to Him. Jesus Christ, His Son, lived a perfect life, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again, conquering death. By placing our faith in Jesus, we are born again – a new creation in Him. This rebirth is not of our own doing but a miraculous work of the Holy Spirit.
“But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.” – Titus 3:4-5 (NIV)
Today, rest in the assurance of your salvation. Firmly set the Helmet of Salvation as a crown on your head! Let go of the need to prove your worthiness. God has already declared you worthy through His grace. Live in the freedom that comes from being saved by His love.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift of salvation through Your grace. Thank You for making me a new creation in You. Help me to live in the freedom and assurance that Your love provides. Remind me that my worth comes from You and not my works. May my life be a reflection of gratitude for Your incredible gift. In Your precious name, Amen.
Love, Tanya Malaghaes
