Day 21 – I am WISE
“Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; And she smiles at the future [knowing that she and her family are prepared]. She opens her mouth in [skillful and godly] wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue [giving counsel and instruction]. She looks well to how things go in her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness.” Proverbs 31:25-27
One of the most advantageous gifts we have been given after the heart of stone has been replaced with a heart of flesh, is the ability to adapt. As we grow in our knowledge of God and His precepts, we gather wisdom –the ability to use knowledge gained. As we start to trust God more and lean less on our own understanding, we find that very many of the hardships and levels of difficulty we experience were self-made, trying to figure out how to do everything that is expected without asking God’s insight. God is a God of order and discipline and strategy, He has ways that will blow our minds, if we only ask Him for it. He has ways to change people’s minds and hearts, to bring peace and to uncover true motives and He is willing to share it all with us at the right time, enabling us to handle whatever comes with wisdom and grace. He is the Master at working smarter not harder and will slip ideas into your mind on how to plan and execute whatever lies ahead with the minimum effort and maximum success, supplying all your needs according to His richness in glory in Christ Jesus. Being wise, has much more far-reaching consequences that merely knowing what to say when, it has an influence on our very own lives, freeing us to have time to do what we love and enjoy, living a well-balanced and fruitful life.
Prayer: Lord, we want to count our days, so that we bring to You a heart of wisdom. We no longer want to live lives anymore that are characterised by angst and panic and worry and rush, because this is not what You have for us. We want to indulge in the world of power and wisdom characterised by peace, so that we can be identified as the work of Your hands, letting our light shine and bringing glory to You! Let Your will, Lord, be done in us! In Jesus name. Amen
