We form relationships with everyone we encounter – whether itโs a waitress, a petrol attendant, or someone dear to us. Yet thereโs a difference: not every connection is ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ด๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ. Surrendering to God, however, is about cultivating a deeply personal relationship with Him.
The truth is that surrender requires trust. We obey those we trust and resist those we donโt. Too often, we cling to control, believing we can manage our lives better than the Author of our story. We place more confidence in ourselves than in our Creator, whose wisdom far surpasses our own.
Learning to surrender begins with building that personal relationship with God. And like any relationship, it grows through time spent together. The more time you devote to Him, the deeper your trust and intimacy will become. The Sabbath offers a sacred opportunity for this – an intentional pause to rest, reflect, and draw closer to the One who calls us to release control and find freedom in His care.
Prayer: Father, thank You for Jesus who tore the veil for us to build a personal relationship with You, and that You have already created the time for this in our lives when You declared the 7th day Holy and Sanctified. Amen.
