Day 22 – Strengths of a Spiritual Hearer

“𝘈𝘴 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘦𝘭 𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘸 𝘶𝘱, 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘰𝘳𝘥 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘢𝘪𝘥 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦.” 1 𝘚𝘢𝘮𝘶𝘦𝘭 3:19

A mature spiritual hearer has unwavering confidence when prophesying what they heard from God. We don’t have any Biblical evidence that Eli continued to guide Samuel to further develop his gift. The boy Samuel grew to be a mature spiritual hearer and only relied on the definite Word from God. Spiritual hearers find their strength in a submissive, listening environment.

• 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Hearers can work independently, holding firmly to the Word they received. If God said something, they cling to it and act or prophesy accordingly.

• 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: They hear God’s voice in a way that reverberates through their spirit. like thunder and instinctively know it is from Him.

• 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆: Hearers can identify exact moments when God spoke, grounding their confidence in what they communicate. They can recall when and where the Word was given.

• 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Many hearers keep records of what God says, writing down words, impressions, and confirmations. This practice strengthens their faith and allows them to revisit past words for guidance and cross-reference.

Spiritual hearers build a beautiful storyline with God, each chapter marked by obedience to His voice. Their strength lies in listening, obeying, and testifying with confidence.

Pray with me: Father, how amazing are the gifts You bestow upon us so we can listen to You. Lord, thank You for the spiritual hearers, and I pray that You guide them to find confidence in their gift and to prophesy faithfully what they hear from Your lips. Amen. ©
