Day 28 – Jehovah Kabodhi
Psalm 3:3 “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, My glory and the One who lifts up my head.”
To fully comprehend Jehovah Kabodhi (the Lord my Glory) we need to break down the meaning of Glory. In Scripture God’s glory is a big deal, which makes it a big deal to us too. Defining the Glory of God is quite impossible. How would you describe it? Glory is more like the word beauty than the word Bible. So if someone says they have never heard of the Bible, you can describe it to them with words and maybe a few hand gestures and even show them one. You can’t do that with the word beauty. Intrinsically holy, intrinsically holy, intrinsically holy and the whole earth is full of his glory from which I humbly stab at a definition by saying the glory of God is the manifest beauty of his holiness. Glory to Jehovah Kabodhi.
Prayer: Father, I pray today to glorify Your name! You are holy, holy, holy and I lift You Jehovah Kabodhi! May Your Name be glorified throughout all the corners of Your marvelous creation. Glorious is Your presence Father. Glorious are Your works within me. Thank You that You are Jehovah Kabodhi. Amen.
PS… Think about God’s glory and what it means to you. Write down your definition of what Jehovah Kabodhi means to you
