Day 3 – I am HIS DAUGHTER
“The hand of the Lord was upon me, and He brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord and set me down in the middle of the valley; and it was full of bones. He caused me to pass all around them, and behold, there were very many [human bones] in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry. And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?” And I answered, “O Lord God, You know.” Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.” Ezekiel 37: 1-4 (Amplified)
Many times, we look at a situation and think it’s hopeless, it’s the end, and nothing can be done to restore it. We as women have many hats we have to wear, some mothers, sisters, aunts, grandma, granddaughters and daughters, that’s only in our personal lives, that’s not the professional side. Sometimes we wear a hat that we don’t want to wear, but because we are in the situation/position that we are in, we must.
If – like some of us – hold onto a small tread of hope, that one day, things will be ‘alive’ again, and they will.
Prayer: Lord, just like Ezekiel in the valley of the dry bones, we as your daughters come today to prophesy over dead bones in a valley. Father, our valleys might look different from each other’s, but we all have one thing in common, something that needs to be restored. Give us the strength to look at our situation today, and just like Ezekiel Lord, we pray over them and for them to hear Your word and come alive and be restored. We as your daughters stand in authority of that which You have given to us. Help us to keep our eyes on You for guidance and wisdom. Amen.
Love, Lynnette van der Walt
