Day 7 – God never changes

God never changes

“I know that whatever God does, it endures forever; nothing can be added to it nor can anything be taken from it, for God does it so that men will fear and worship Him [with awe-filled reverence, knowing that He is God].” Ecclesiastes 3:14 (AMP)

Often when we experience challenging times, we change, our relationship with God may reach another level, some will draw closer and others may drawback. God is not affected by how you react to the changes; He has a divine plan and purpose for you and nothing will be added or removed for what He has planned for you. All He wants is for you to know that He is good and to worship and fear Him, even in the winter times – to trust in Him.

Trusting in the Lord strengthens us not to give in to change so easily and to rely on Him. Gaining our nourishment from who He is and what He has promised to those who love and follow Him.

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8 (KJV)

Dear reader, you are encouraged today to trust God in your winter seasons. Just like the tree in Jeremiah 17, draw your strength from Him during the hard times, standing strong in each season and bearing the fruit He has called you to bear!

Prayer: Lord, thank You for not being affected by our changing hearts and minds when things around us change. Thank You for remaining the same now and forever and for being our strength and water of life. Amen
