Day 4 – Lost Son
“A few days later, the younger son gathered together everything [that he had] and traveled to a distant country, and there he wasted his fortune in reckless and immoral living” Luke 15:13 (AMP)
Can you relate to the lost son? I surely can.
Most of us become like this young man if we don’t guard our hearts and treasure the immoral and reckless things as Luke 15:13 refers to.
From this parable, we see a process of turning and returning:
Turning to reckless and immoral living – Luke 15:13
Without and in need – Luke 15:14
Coming to senses – Luke 15:17
Get up and returned to the father – Luke 15:20
If you have placed your treasures in the wrong place, it is not too late. Come to your senses today, repent and return – God is waiting for you. Take some time today and study the parable in your own time, ask the Holy Spirit to guide you as you relate, learn and return.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, thank You that we still have time to come to our senses and return to You. Guide us through Your Spirit and Word today as we receive the hidden treasures in this parable, to apply to our lives. Amen.
