Day 7 – All that is Admirable and Just

Continuing our exploration of thought focus from Paul’s list in Philippians 4:8, today we look at “all that is admirable”.
Admirable is also called “right” or “just” in different translations.
What we learn is that things that are “right” or “just” are in effect to be admired and praised.
We have a clear knowing of what is right, and the Lord wants us to focus on what is right. Webster defines “just” as “reasonable, proper, morally upright and righteous”.
When the Bible tells us to think on “just” things, it means to think on things that are fair and righteous; of course, God being our ultimate example.
Deuteronomy 32:3-4: “For I proclaim the name of the LORD; ascribe greatness to our God! The Rock! His work is perfect, for all His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright is He”.
Psalm 89:14: “Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; steadfast love and faithfulness go before you.”
We are to live justly and walk in righteousness because we belong to God. “If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him.” 1 John 2:29
Prayer: Precious Lord, I cannot begin to express my gratitude for Your mercy which gives me a personal relationship with You. You alone are righteous, upright, and just. What a privilege to praise You for Your steadfast, unfailing love. Teach and equip me in all Your ways so that I may grow into a mature child close to Your Heart! In Jesus Name. Amen.
