Day 6 – Tracking Journaling
“Moses wrote down their starting places, stage by stage, by command of the Lord, and these are their stages according to their starting places.” Numbers 33:2 ESV
Every adventure has a starting place. Even our lives started at the moment of conception where God lovingly knitted us together to reflect His glorious image to the world. And it is the same with our spiritual journeys as we travel through seasons of growth. Your journal can be a reflection of your journey and adventures with God. But you need to start somewhere…
Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you to write down the starting place where you find yourself today. Writing down the start will allow you to see the journey as a whole season by the time you cross the finish line. You can find yourself in a season of winter where solitude and reflection colours your pages or in a season of rapid growth where your pen just can’t keep up with everything you are learning.
While journaling, or just doing Bible study, it is helpful to keep track of your progress to understand where you’ve started and know the direction God is leading. To me, this is not a race, it’s a road trip with God through a growth journey taking it day by day and enjoying the sights He shows me along the way. Your journal can track study after study, growth after growth, and season after season reflecting on how far you’ve come from the starting point.
Prayer: Father, thank You for having a starting point for me in mind when You created me in my mother’s womb. Show me the starting point of the journey I am on today and help me track my studies and growth as You show me the beauty in Your Word. Amen.
Tip: Today we’ve included a Bible reading tracker under the freebies section to assist you in tracking your journey through the Bible. We also have a range of “seasonal” journal stickers in the shop. (Find the links below).
