Day 7 – Choose

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105

I would like to leave the following verses for you, decide to live your life differently from the past. Make a choice to live your life to the fullest, in the presence of the almighty God. Do you feel you need a change?  Do you want lean on God’s Word?  Do you want the Lord to light up the path that you need to walk? Then I want to encourage you to do the following, and I can guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.

“Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones. Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the firstfruits of all your increase;” Proverbs 3:7-9 NKJV

Honoring the Lord with your possessions is to give glory and honor to God for what He has done and given to you. That includes everything in your life. Be grateful for it. Treat it with the utmost respect. Be diligent in guarding it. Your possessions are not just material things, but your family, your marriage, your spouse, your children, your grandchildren, your friends, your neighbors, your fellow brother and sisters, your boss, your colleagues, etc.

Depart from a lying tongue. Honor the Lord your God with a beautiful and clean tongue.  A tongue that does not lie, but speaks the truth, a tongue that does not deceive but keeps its promise. A tongue that does not curse but blesses. A tongue that does not use cuss words but words of peace. A tongue that edifies and uplifts and speaks life!

Prayer: Jesus, how we need you in our lives. Oh, how we need your direction. Holy Spirit speaks to us always, Lord help us to hear your voice and follow through with what you guide us to do. In Jesus’s Name Amen.
