Guidance

Fast: Sun up to sundown

“When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.” John 16:13 (NLT)

I can get lost on any given day. Not because I have no sense of direction, but because I just don’t concentrate on where I am going, or I think I know better than Google maps! Sometimes it’s like this in our spiritual lives too – we are not focused on where we should go and we think we know better than our Guide and in the process, we become lost sheep.

Always keep God’s truth as the cardinal North your compass needle should point to.

Ask for guidance in areas you feel especially lost and directionless in your life.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the guidance of Truth to help us choose Your direction in our lives and show us where we need to go. Guide us even after this fast Lord, to always follow the Spirit of Truth. Amen.
