To stand fast as a house that serves the Lord, we should invite our community (like Joshua did) to serve the Lord together as a unified Body of Christ and to be encouraged by each other’s faith (like Paul describes).

Both covenants teach the same thing: God saves by grace alone. But the New covenant showcases God’s love in a way never seen in the history of the covenants – an eternal future.
We have the privilege to read the history which was then in the making and see the plan God developed throughout the years to have this personal relationship with us today through His Only Son, Jesus.
Neither were the Israelites required to obey the Law for the Lord to save them… God rescued them first before revealing the law.
And though it might have sounded impossible to him, he believed God.
