Day 10 – The vulnerability that teaches trust

The absence of back armour is not carelessness. It is theology. If you were armoured on every side, you might conclude that your survival depends entirely on your discipline. Your vigilance. Your performance. However, the fact that you have an exposed back introduces dependence.
There are things you cannot see. There are threats you cannot anticipate. There are consequences you cannot undo. And this is precisely where God positions Himself. As you ππππ ππ’πππ. That is military language. It is protective positioning. It is deliberate coverage of vulnerability. Where you are most vulnerable, God promises to guard you and to protect you. Where the armour ends, God begins. This causes us to depend on God, but also encourages us to move forward into the battle we have to fight, while God is covering our backs.
Prayer: Abba, thank You for being my rear guard. You cover my most vulnerable areas, and I am grateful that I donβt have to hesitate to move forward. You have my back. Amen.
