Day 2 – Definition of a Godly women

“This is how the holy women of old made themselves beautiful. They put their trust in God and accepted the authority of their husbands.” 1 Peter 3:5

As we learned yesterday, the characteristics of a biblical woman remain the same. If God wanted us to be godly back in Bible times, He still wants us to be godly today.

It’s all good and well to read these things and I am sure some of you already have the question formed in your minds, “But Pastor, what IS a godly woman?” It is someone who strives to live according to God’s principles and to fulfill His purposes for her life. She seeks to cultivate a deep and intimate relationship with God, allowing His love and grace to transform her heart and mind. A woman who ultimately places her trust in God and is willing to submit to Him and her husband, the head of the house as instituted by God. She’s not perfect and isn’t expected to be anything else but a daughter of the King of kings who takes one day at a time.

A woman like you. It is my prayer that you will discover yourself as a godly woman through this devotional.

Prayer: Our Father and King, I pray today that each woman reading this today will open her heart to what You want to share with her about being a Godly woman. That she will seek herself in You and get to know herself the way You created her and for the purpose You created her. May You bless each woman embarking on this journey with us. Amen.

Love, Pastor Iriza
