Day 24 – Character of the Titus 2 Woman
How many of us slander, misuse alcohol, gossip, cannot keep our nose out of other people’s business, lie, cheat, or are uncaring, stealing etc? Well, I think that I am guilty of some of the above. Thinking back to my younger self, I am so grateful God placed women in my life who encouraged and supported me. These women still pray for me, and I feel forever indebted to them. If they didn’t take the time to shape my character, my life would not be the same.
Thankfully through their example, I got saved and I found a living and loving God that plans my life on my behalf. Now, a mature woman myself, I am stepping into the same role and the same characteristics I was taught. All the shaping and grooming I have learned to become a Titus 2 woman I would like to embed in someone else.
As Titus 2 women, we should act in a way that reflects Jesus’s teachings before we try to guide younger women in their lives. We must strive to embody the characteristics of a mature Titus 2 woman with respect. This means refraining from speaking negatively about others and having self-control over our desires, whether it’s related to drinking, food, or money. We should be dedicated to sharing meaningful teachings with younger women, focusing on what truly matters and contributes to their eternal life.
Prayer: Jesus, thank you for saving us from ourselves and for making it possible for us to be saved through what You did on the cross. Thank you for the women in our lives who have changed our perspective on faith. Lord, I pray that if anyone needs a godly woman in their life, You will send one to them. For those who are alone day and night, I pray that You will visit them daily. Amen.
