Day 33 – Set 30 Minutes Aside for “Worry Time”

“But when you pray, go into your most private room, close the door and pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees [what is done] in secret will reward you.” Matthew 6:6

As with any circumstance, there is a beginning, middle and an end. At the beginning we find ourselves strong and courageous, but as the longevity sets in our courage dwindles and we can easily become despondent and lose our peace and joy. This is why we plan, set apart and with all diligence seek the face of the Lord, cast our burdens on Him and accept His peace that surpasses all understanding, which will carry us through to the end.

Prayer: Prince of Peace, how honoured we are to have a God who sympathises with our every struggle, Who is ready to help in times of trouble and Whose mighty right hand is stretched out to us in help and encouragement. Thank you that Your arm is not too short to help and Your ear not deaf to hear and Your attitude not one of impatience, but one of understanding. We give our burden to You, Lord, and take up Your light burden of peace and joy. In Jesus name. Amen
