Day 5 – Accepted

Ephesians 1:6 (NKJV) – “to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us ACCEPTED* in the Beloved.” *Capitals added for emphasis.

This verse does not need much explanation, but the key here is that you are accepted! All you need to do is accept yourself and allow the grace of God to fill your being with that acceptance.

This is often the hardest thing to do. The most important thing is that you need to realise that you are already accepted by the Almighty God. If you cannot believe it, you are the one who has not accepted you.

Let’s take an action step here. Grab or go to your nearest mirror. I know when you look at yourself the first thing you will start to notice is all the flaws, we all do. Don’t let these distract you. They aren’t flaws anyway!

In this exercise I need you to LOOK yourself in the eyes and LOUDLY SPEAK the following words to yourself: “I, (your name goes here), am chosen. I am loved. I am pure. I am forgiven by the Most High God (and if you need to, this is the point where you declare and actually do forgive yourself for things that haunt you too!). I stand victorious over my circumstances as a princess because I am a daughter of the King!”

While you declare these truths over yourself, be sure to maintain eye contact so that you can see these truths manifest in the depths of your being. Repeat them as often as you need to remind yourself of your worth.

Prayer: Thank you Abba Father for accepting me. Thank you for guiding me to accept myself so that I may walk in the beauty and fullness of the plans that you have for me. Whenever doubts and insecurities creep in and my acceptance of myself dwindles, please remind me again so that I may never lose my identity as a beloved daughter of the Most High Lord. Amen.
