Day 4 – Destined

Ephesians 1:11 (NKJV) – “In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being PREDESTINED* according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will,” *Capitals added for emphasis.
There is that word predestined again. Nothing that you are facing now in your journey with the Lord is by accident. It was predestined, since before the foundation of the earth.
That does not mean that you have no choice in the outcome of your life. You cannot sit back and just wait for things to work out. The Lord did give us free will after all. But the choices you are faced with are predestined so that you will always have the choice to choose Him. Remember, He first chose you. This was done before the dawn of time. But in the free will that you were given, you have to choose Him back. You have to accept the inheritance you received as a daughter of the King. You have to choose to live as an example of the royal family of Heaven while you are here on earth. In all the tough things you are going through you are consistently asked to choose.
Will you maintain your title as a daughter of the King or will you renounce the family that you were adopted into at the highest cost?
This is a difficult choice and is made so much harder because it needs to be done daily. Sometimes even multiple times a day. You are destined, dear daughter. Always choose the Father. Just as he always chose you from the beginning of time. He is always there in the hardship holding on to you, protecting you, so that you are not overcome.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for the destiny You have for me. Help me to identify when I am faced with kingdom choices, however small they might seem in the moment. I long to always show others the beauty of your Kingdom and the peace that abounds in your presence. Even in my storms help me to make the right choices to align my present with the predestined path You have for me. Amen.
