Day 4 – Expect God to show up

“𝘉𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘏𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘥 𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦, 𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘶𝘱𝘰𝘯 𝘏𝘪𝘮 𝘢𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘴 𝘐 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦.” 𝘗𝘴𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘴 116:2

I’ve noticed people praying (or asking for prayer) but not believing that God will honour their prayer or even hear it. Let’s take a trip down memory lane for a bit: when you called your mom or dad, what was their response? Especially when it was a call of need. They came running, right? God does the same. You are His child. When you call, He shows up because His ear is inclined to you. He 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸𝘴 your voice, but you need to get to know His voice, too.

Our thoughts can be the most thunderous storm, drowning out even our voice, let alone God’s. But even in these situations, we can be assured that God will show up. Didn’t Jesus walk on the water amid a storm towards His disciples? Yes, when you call on God, expect Him to show up. As we learn to develop a lifestyle of listening, you will soon realise you hear God even in the storms of life.

Pray with me: Father, thank You that I can know that, no matter what the situation is, I can call upon You as long as I live because Your ear is inclined to me. Thank You that I can be assured that when I call upon You, You will show up. I love You, Father. Amen. ©
