Day 7 – Blessing

“Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave women, but of the free woman. It is for freedom that Christ set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 4:30 NIV

God says in Galatians to remove slavery (Egypt) and any other bondage from your life because it is not part of God’s promise and blessing for your life. We are not children of the slave woman but we are children of God. To go out of Egypt (slavery) to the Promised Land is a process. If you give your life to Christ, the process starts and you submit to it to reach the Promised Land. Part of the process is reading your Bible, praying every day, and being obedient. If you are like the Israelites who wanted to return to Egypt; the path to the Promised Land takes longer.

We live in a world where our freedom is taken away and our voices are silent. To be a Christian is getting harder and prosecution becomes a daily struggle. This world must not define who we are but it must set us apart from this world. We must be the light of the world to lead others to the feet of Jesus.

Prayer: Lord, you are my home and my salvation. Lead us to freedom and safety where we can praise you. Thank you for my daily blessings. Amen.
