A follower is described as “someone who stands in service”.

Day 6 – Fans are in it for them, followers are in it for God
Isn’t that just so encouraging and incredible? He makes it so worth it for us to be His follower.

Day 5 – A fan focuses on an event, a follower focuses on the bigger picture
A follower spends time with Jesus every day, to build the relationship stronger and stronger and to get to know Jesus’ heart for them.

Day 4 – A fan watches from the stands, a follower is in the game
In the battle of good and evil, you don’t have to stand on the sidelines like a fan, watching the action from afar. You are invited by Jesus to follow Him in the battle.

It is not enough to try to know Him only through other people’s eyes.
