Day 11 – Jehovah Tsidkenu

“And His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell safely; Now this is His name by which He will be called: THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.” Jeremiah 23:6

We are not righteous in and of ourselves. Our righteousness comes from God and God alone through Jesus as He imputes His righteousness into us so that we can experience God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” Are you feeling that you can’t live a righteous life as a child of God? That’s right where you need to be because God never asked you to live a life as a child of God apart from Him. God is your righteousness. He wants to be your strength, to live righteously through you, and to for you that you would never be able to accomplish yourself. He is righteous. He is Holy!

Prayer: Father, so many times I repeatedly feel that I disappoint You or that I just cannot get my life aligned to the level of righteousness which I think You expect from me. And how many times do I forget, that it’s not me, but You who live through me! Father guide me to understand how You want me to live my life as a child of God. Help me to understand the righteousness You want me to have in my life. Amen.

PS… I know first-hand what it feels like to think that you are a disappointment to God. It took me a long time to realize that I am not. That He loves me unconditionally with all my flaws and irks. I have learned that no matter what, God will always be Jehovah Tsidkenu in my life, for only He is Righteous.
