Day 27 – The Word in your mouth

“For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.” Deuteronomy 30:11-14

Speaking the Word of God is not a New Testament thing or any type of doctrine. It’s been recorded in one of the oldest scriptures known to us. Deuteronomy. God says that “the word is very near to you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.” Having the word in your mouth and heart cannot get any closer than that. We hesitate when it comes to executing what the Word of God says. We doubt and wonder what we may and may not say or pray for. But we are allowed to do what the scripture says because the Word says, “you MAY do it”. God gave us permission to not only speak His Word but to carry it in our mouths and hearts. To carry something means to have it with you at all times and God wants us to have His Word with us at all times.

Prayer: Father, please forgive me the times I have doubted to speak your Word. I choose to carry Your Word in my mouth and my heart wherever I may go. Amen.
