Day 9 – Prayers for the bathroom

“Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:2 NKJV

At first, I thought it a bit silly to pray over the bathroom. But it’s a room in the home and a prayer map would not be complete with all the rooms on the map, right? Just like the other rooms in the home, it is one we all frequently visit (and in the case of young adults, hog it at times). So, why not pray over what we can be grateful for in the bathroom and linking to the cleansing of our souls?

Prayer for the bathroom

Father, thank You for a room where we have access to water and to sanitary conditions. Thank You, Jesus, for washing away our sins on the cross so we can stand clean before God. Show us any areas in our lives that still need cleansing and give us humble and repentant hearts. Cleanse us from any vanity and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Amen.
