Determined to finish the race

Life is filled with trials and challenges that can make us question our strength, determination, and purpose. But as devoted Christians, we are called to persevere, just as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, persevered through unimaginable suffering to complete His mission on the cross. In the midst of our own struggles, it is important to find inspiration in His example and draw strength from His Word.

Scripture: Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV) “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.”

In my journey to launch a global business, I have encountered countless sleepless nights and faced obstacles that seemed insurmountable. There have been moments when I cried out to the Lord, feeling the weight of my endeavor and telling Him how “hard it is.”

Take heart, for in these moments, the Holy Spirit is there to remind us of how hard it was for Jesus to stick to His mission, enduring the suffering and agony leading up to the cross. The parallels between our determination to endure and Christ’s determination to save us are profound.

Jesus, our ultimate example, endured the unimaginable. He faced rejection, ridicule, and suffering beyond measure. In the Garden of Gethsemane, He prayed with tears and anguish, but His determination to fulfil God’s plan never wavered. When the weight of the cross seemed unbearable, He pressed on. His obedience and determination led Him to the ultimate victory over sin and death.

Similarly, as you face the difficulties of whatever you are facing, remember that your journey is part of God’s divine plan. Your determination to push through the sleepless nights, the challenges, and the moment of doubt is a testimony to your faith.

Philippians 4:13 (NIV) reminds us, “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” Your determination to finish the race isn’t driven solely by your own power but by the strength and grace of the One who overcame the world.

As you continue to work tirelessly and face the hardships, remember that you are not alone. The same Spirit that sustained Jesus during His darkest hours is within you, strengthening you to press on. With Christ as your guide and your source of strength, you can indeed finish the race, overcoming all obstacles and reaching the glorious finish line.

God bless you on your journey, and may your determination be a shining testament to His grace and glory.

In Christ’s love, Tanya
