Because my biggest worries and anxieties are rooted in me. About me. I.
Anxious thoughts are like oil floating on water. It does not mix – it only contaminates.
When the actual thought should be, “Why am I doubting God?”
Who am I to say that this world is bad or that I did not have a good day?
The word ‘portion’ in our key verse is ‘Chêleq’ in Hebrew – meaning part of a whole. Some translations refer to it as ‘inheritance’. So, what does this have to do with ‘nothing good happens to me” my mind wonders? Everything!
I’m not talking about knowing He loves us. I’m talking about LIVING as if we really believe it.
The inner monologue is so strong at times that it seems impossible to ‘un-think’ it.
This thought strips your purpose and soon enough you do not see purpose in anything you do. Not even in who you are.
The silencing of our thoughts is to seek Him in the negative thought. Becoming still is His exaltation.
